What a valid notice needs
- identification of the copyrighted work you claim was infringed;
- the URL on Sourcd of the material you want removed;
- your name, address, and email;
- a statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorised;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner;
- your electronic signature (your typed full name).
Filing a knowingly false notice can carry legal liability. If you're unsure whether something is infringing, consult a lawyer first.
Counter-notice
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice — reply to the removal email or contact us with the same identifying details plus a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake, and your consent to jurisdiction. We may restore the content if the claimant does not pursue a court order.
